I still felt that doing tai ji should be wearing a comfortable dress. of course, no need to go like silk (not everyone can afford) But definitelly not jeans. It will be a bit difficult for the movement by wearing jeans to do tai ji

I feel like a nancy-boy when I wear silks...
It's normally too hot here in Florida to wear long sleeves, but when I can I wear the traditional kung fu top. For some reason, long sleeves gets my qi rolling like you wouldn't believe. Maybe its only local qi or maybe its giving me a point of reference of how far to extend my dan tian qi so that it reaches the skin. In any case, it works.

Also, viva track pants. Cant imagine wearing anything else. Except a cheongsam. :D i need a new one. The one I have doesnt fit right because I have monkey arms. If you've never seen this site, check out http://chinese-tailor.com . You couldn't ask for better formal/competition wear.

I don't think this is funny or weird at all. Personally, after much trial and error, I've settled on addidas samba indoor soccer shoes and kwon black martial arts pants that have elastic ankles. Other than that, just any old t-shirt.
