I haven’t read any Tai Ji books for a while now. My learning journey in Tai Ji has in a way forced me not to look for answers in books but look for them through experience. And then I come across a quote from Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke.
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. … Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.
It seems to answer the Questions I have been asking myself, but the main point here is to live the questions, now! And perhaps, the answer will appear when you’re ready to live the answer. Reminds me of my favourite quote:
When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
