More listening in Tai Chi by 解守德
I can’t seem to get enough of this clip. Seeing it again and again, with the minimal changes the teacher has to the maximum impact on the student, it really makes me wonder the chasm of skill between me and this teacher. Is it attainable? I don’t know, but it certainly is possible!
The teacher uses the student’s force and diverted it back with amazing accuracy. His point is that all parts of body should be able to do the same, to create the yin and the yang necessary to divert the force. Here, he demonstrates the skill using his legs. Even if you don’t know Tai Chi, you’ll be amazed by the clip below!

of course its attainable. its part of the teaching of GM Wei. and the most amazing thing is that Xie only learned for a few months though he had over the last decade to train it. the other thing that was downplayed is that Xie is also a master of baguazhang and in this clip which is from the DVD that accompanied his book he actually tried to pass on a bagua move as a taiji technique! i would know as i knew a few guys who learned from Xie in the early days of his teaching career and i actually tried to interest the bagua society in SG to invite him over to teach but those guys said that they thought Xie was too young as if age had something to do with skills!!! i guess its SG loss.
