This is a childhood dream. I remember owning a Rubik’s cube as a child, but never been able to solve it. I end up removing the stickers and swapping them around until they look correct.
I’ve put this on my “Someday” list ever since I’ve started my journey down the GTD road. I finally bought a Rubik’s cube today to accomplish this. I managed to solve it this morning, with plenty of help from youtube. The algorithms are fairly easy to follow, as long as you remember them, but it wasn’t the version of solutions I was looking for. I want to be able to understand it to solve it, not just follow some rules and memorise some algorithms to solve it. I want to be able to truly solve it, with understanding.
Apparently there are a few ways to solve it. I hope I can find out more. There are tonnes of infomration out there now, just google it and there are solutions pouring out to you, begging you to click on them. I found one where it says that it’ll help me understand. I will need to decide if I’m going to ask for help, or figure it out on my own. I always like the latter because there’s always this strange satisfaction of able to achieve something on your own. This is the same satisfaction that will make you wear a silly smile wherever you go.
i’m just not that smart for the latter, yet.
