According to my current Tai Ji teacher, if you practise the form continuously one set after another, the effect is compounded. For example, if you practise the form twice in succession, you would have effectively practised 3 times. 3 in succession equals 6 times, 4 in succession equals 10 times, and so on.

I have been trying to clock more distance for the Nike Charity Run. I’m glad to say that I’ve met my own target of running at least 40km for the charity. That’s worth $200! I’ll try to do a bit more before December 5th. I really don’t know how someone can actually clock close to [...]
For every 1km you run, Nike will donate $5 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! The catch? You’ll need an iPod and a Nike+ Sports Kit so that the information will be uploaded onto the Nike+ website. Ok, a recent weigh in clocks my weight at 76.7kg. I have to say, it does feel like I’ve swallowed a Boeing 767! I’m 1.76m tall, which puts my Body Mass Index at 24.76, which according to the same people who devised the Body Mass Index, that I am bordering on being overweight. I can’t [...]

I’m no expert in horizontal running, and definitely not in running vertically. I have tried running up the stairs to pick up the forgotten umbrella, but I certainly have not tried running 73 storeys (all 1336 steps) at one go! Enrolling into a vertical marathon was entirely by chance. Ok, peer pressure had something to [...]
I’ve done Tai Chi. I’ve done running. And when I knew I could combine them both, I just couldn’t resist to buy that book. And today was the first day I tried out Chi Running, and I have to say… I’m really impressed with the results!
Posture is important in Tai Chi. The alignment from head [...]
A normal response for a puddle, for me anyway, is to jump over it, and hope that my leap will be long enough to avoid the splash from the puddle. And then, there’s always that bit of puddle that you just couldn’t avoid. Your leap may be in the wrong direction. The puddle was wider [...]
